The workshop starts with a safety briefing. Students also receive safety gear. Design and various construction techniques are discussed and demonstrated. Students design and manufacture a once off piece to take with them. The workshop includes lunch, supper and tea breaks, giving the students time to discuss and focus on the work at hand.

Louise Kluyts is a naive artist, who lives, work and facilitate art workshops in the quint town of Heidelberg, Western Cape. Simple lines and brilliant, saturated colours are the basis of her naive floral and often abstract art.
Her uninhibited and intuitive approach to different mediums and composition give rise to highly individual works. Each painting is a bold expression but at the same time filled with symbology and meaning taking you on a journey of new insights.
Louise’s art is characterised by raw creativity and an innocent frankness, realised on canvas in a eclectic range of mediums. Louise jumps from medium to medium with childlike abandonment, she genuinely loves experimenting with different materials and displays a dare-to-try attitude towards creativity and art.
Louise has been a full time artist since 1999 and opened Star Nation Art Studio & Gallery when she stayed in Blouberg in 2000. Louise relocated the art studio to Heidelberg in 2002 where she developed her art workshops that since evolved into online art courses.
Louise’s presentation of these workshops reflects a wide knowledge of art techniques, diverse mediums and useful tips. She facilitates her workshops and online courses in a self-assured and well prepared manner while supporting and motivating her students throughout all the courses available. She inspires beginners and advanced artists alike to reach their higher potential.
